American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Med-Surg/Telemetry unit requiring 2 years of experience and prior travel nursing experience.

Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)

Floating required to units of equal acuity

Epic charting system used

- Active RN or Compact RN license required (TX or compact) in hand at time of consideration

BLS certification required

Minimum 2 years of RN experience preferred

Prior travel nursing experience required

Epic charting experience required
-
Skills in IV therapy/phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration
-
Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and telemetry remote monitoring
-
Experience managing cardiac drips (no titration), heparin protocols, and PCA
-
Experience with BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, oxygen administration, and tracheostomy care
-
Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and wound care/wound vac
-
Experience with pre/post cardiac catheterization and cardiac surgery care preferred
-
Experience with pre/post hemodialysis management and renal failure care

,or Provide care for cardiac telemetry, medical-surgical, and cardiovascular patients

Support ports, central lines, PICC lines, and peripheralral lines as needed
-

- Respond to rapid response and code team events as needed
-
Manage patients with CVA, spinal cord injury, and GI conditions including feeding tube care

Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted for this position
-
Candidates residing in specific East Texas counties are not eligible for consideration
-
First-time travelers may be considered based on position details
-
Former staff must wait at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
-
No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
-
Onboarding requires completion of core items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
-
Orientation modules are completed onsite
