Experienced Kitchen Cook – Sushi Restaurant
We are looking for an experienced, dependable, and self-motivated Kitchen Cook to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, stays productive without constant supervision, and takes pride in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of professional restaurant kitchen experience (required)
- Must be able to read and understand English to safely perform job duties
- Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Reliable, hardworking, and maintains a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and food safety
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook appetizers, fried items, and other hot kitchen menu items according to our recipes and standards
- Assist with sushi bar prep, including preparing imitation crab and other ingredients as needed
- Wash dishes and keep dishwashing caught up throughout the shift
- Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and stocked at all times
- Restock plates, cups, containers, pots, and kitchen supplies
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management when items are running low
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
- Work efficiently during busy service while maintaining food quality and consistency
- Help wherever needed to keep the kitchen running smoothly
We are looking for someone who takes initiative, stays busy without being told, and treats the kitchen as if it were their own.
