American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with a minimum of 4 years of OR experience and multi-service line surgical background, including Neurology, Transplant, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedics, for a 16-week day shift contract in Atlanta, GA.

Hospital Operating Room setting serving a broad range of surgical service lines, including Bariatrics, Urology, Neurology, ENT, Oral, Plastics, Transplant, Ophthalmology, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedics

Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)

Weekend requirements are variable and will be discussed during the interview

Floating within facility and scope of practice, including to Outpatient as needed

16-week contract

Active GA RN license or Compact RN license required

Minimum 4 years of OR experience prior to traveling, with required experience in Neurology, Transplant, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedics

Current certifications must be on file at time of consideration

No schedule change requests will be accommodated — the posted day shift is firm

First-time travelers are not accepted for this position

Candidates must have been away from all facilities within this health system for at least 1 full year before returning as a traveler

Local candidates are accepted for this position

RTO maximum is 7 days for the duration of the contract; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment

Holiday RTO policy: if 1–2 major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO approved; if 3 major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers must work at least 2, with one holiday RTO request eligible for review

Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday (counted as 1), Christmas Eve/Christmas Day (counted as 1), and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day (counted as 1)

Blackout dates with no RTO approved: 11/23–11/29 and 12/21–1/3

Travel pairs may not be assigned to the same shift on the same unit

Full compliance with onboarding requirements is expected prior to the start date; delays may result in a 2-week pushback due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule

Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred
