Torborgs Shawano Lumber is seeking an experienced Draftsman/Residential Designer to join our team. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong residential design and drafting experience who enjoys collaborating with customers, builders, and team members to bring projects from concept to reality.
Responsibilities
Create residential construction drawings and design plans using Revit 2026
Utilize Bluebeam and other industry software to review, revise, and manage project documents
Read, interpret, and develop blueprints and construction plans
Work closely with customers, contractors, and internal teams throughout the design process
Ensure plans meet project requirements and applicable building standards
Maintain accuracy and attention to detail while managing multiple projects
Collaborate effectively in a fast-paced team environment
Qualifications
Minimum 4-5 years of experience in residential drafting, design, or a related field
Proficiency with Revit 2026, Bluebeam, and other drafting/design software
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
Solid understanding of residential construction methods and materials
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage deadlines and multiple projects simultaneously
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Associate's Degree in Architectural Technology, Architectural Design, or a related field preferred
