Job Summary
Performs a variety of maintenance and mechanic tasks. This person will be providing the preventive maintenance, urgent maintenance and repair on our heavy equipment in the yard. They will also provide maintenance for our other yard equipment as needed.
Key Performance Indicators are as follows: ensuring that the PM work is done on the yard equipment 100% of the time before the due date. Ensures that equipment is operational and to company specifications 100% of the time.
Essential Functions
The individual assigned to this position must, with or without reasonable accommodation, be able to perform the following functions:
- Perform preventive maintenance and maintenance on the heavy equipment and equipment in the yard.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces.
- Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials onto machines.
- Reasoning skills to accommodate individual situations and provide solutions to issues if they arise.
- Operate equipment to verify operational efficiency.
- Inspect Fire Extinguishers
- Inspect Ladders
- Inspect buildings/Job sites to identify safety hazards.
- Familiar with/Ensure compliance with OSHA Policies and Procedures (Safety Data Sheets)
- Repair Damaged equipment.
- Troubleshoot, Repair and Maintain tools and equipment. (Pumps, Chain hoists, small engines, yard maintenance equipment, pressure washer)
- Conduct and maintain preventative maintenance program and procedures on tools, equipment, and facilities.
- Operate scissor lifts, Extendable Booms, Tractor, Drive truck and tow a trailer (pick-up and delivery driver), Fork Trucks
- General knowledge and ability of electrical and plumbing.
- All other duties as assigned.

- Mechanical – Knowledge of small/large engine, yard equipment and heavy equipment repairs.

- Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Experience: Six months to one-year related experience
- General Computer Skills, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office.
