Duties
- Operate the cash register accurately, handling retail sales transactions, cash handling, and cash drawer management with precision.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering questions, and offering product recommendations.
- Conduct product demos and upselling to promote store items, increasing sales opportunities.
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure the store is clean and well-maintained to enhance shopping experiences.
- Assist with merchandising efforts to highlight promotional items and seasonal products effectively.
- Maintain knowledge of retail store products to answer customer inquiries confidently and accurately.
- Follow phone etiquette standards when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred; familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
- Supervising experience is advantageous for those interested in leadership opportunities.
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases.
- Demonstrated ability in cashiering, retail math, and basic math skills for accurate transactions.
- Experience with cash register operations, cash drawer handling, and retail sales transactions essential for daily duties.
- Knowledge of grocery or convenience store products and merchandising techniques preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette.
