About the Role:
The Barback plays a crucial support role within the bar team, ensuring that bartenders have everything they need to provide excellent service efficiently. This position focuses on maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar area, restocking supplies, and assisting with the preparation of garnishes and other bar essentials. The Barback helps create a seamless customer experience by anticipating the needs of bartenders and customers alike, allowing bartenders to focus on mixing and serving drinks. This role requires a proactive and energetic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and values teamwork. Ultimately, the Barback contributes significantly to the smooth operation of the bar and the overall satisfaction of patrons.
Minimum Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years old in accordance with local and state laws.

Previous experience in a fast-paced hospitality or bar environment is preferred but not required.

Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy boxes and moving kegs.

Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Basic knowledge of bar operations and beverage service etiquette.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a bar or restaurant setting.

Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to food and beverage service.

Responsibilities:

Restock bar inventory including liquor, mixers, ice, glassware, and garnishes to ensure bartenders have necessary supplies at all times.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware, clearing empty bottles, and disposing of trash.

Assist bartenders by preparing garnishes, cutting fruit, and setting up bar stations before and during service.

Monitor and replenish ice supplies to ensure continuous availability throughout shifts.

Support bartenders in managing customer flow by quickly responding to their needs and maintaining a tidy workspace.
