Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Heavy Civil Construction Foreman to lead and oversee large-scale infrastructure projects including Land Clearing and Development, Bridges, Culverts, Highways, etc.. In this pivotal role, you will coordinate construction activities on-site, supervise crews, ensure safety compliance, and maintain project schedules and budgets. Your expertise in heavy civil construction, combined with strong management skills, will drive project success from start to finish. Duties
- Lead and supervise construction crews on heavy civil projects such as roads, bridges, pipelines, and other infrastructure works.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar construction management software to ensure timely completion.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans; ensure accurate implementation of design specifications.
- Manage daily operations on-site, including quality control, safety protocols in compliance with OSHA standards, and adherence to project budgets.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth workflow and resolve issues promptly.
- Utilize construction management software like ProCore and Bluebeam for documentation, tracking progress, and communication.
- Oversee site safety practices, conduct regular safety meetings, and enforce OSHA regulations to maintain a secure work environment.
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in heavy civil construction projects with a strong understanding of construction site operations.
- Demonstrated expertise in project scheduling using Primavera P6 or Primavera; familiarity with Construction management software such as ProCore or Bluebeam is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of contracts, construction estimating, budgeting, and quality control processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and schematics; experience with pipeline projects is a plus.
- Skilled in the use of tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting on-site.
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining high safety standards per OSHA guidelines.
- Familiarity with heavy civil construction equipment operation and maintenance practices.
- Relevant certifications including OSHA safety training are required; additional certifications like Management or Construction site experience are advantageous. Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
