EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position plays an important role in monitoring service quality, assisting providers, and supporting key processes within the ID/A system. Your work will promote consistency, safety, and teamwork across our service network. As a County Intellectual Disabilities Program Specialist 1, you will perform the following duties:
Quality Assurance Management: Monitor provider performance for quality and compliance; review data, create summary reports of findings, support corrective actions, and track outcomes-
Provider Support: Provide ongoing guidance, direction, and technical assistance to new and existing providers and Support Coordination Organization staff in multiple areas including qualification, individual support plan review, and more

Risk Screening: Review data and participate in meetings to help assess any level of health, safety, regulatory or financial risk for providers

Incident Response: Review and investigate incidents within required timeframes to ensure individual health and safety, and to give effective direction to providers

Stakeholder Communication: Act as a program liaison between the ID/A system, internal partners, external organizations and community stakeholders; participate in community outreach events as needed

Service Authorization Review: Approve or disapprove services in individual support plans according to regulations and requirements

Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Occasional need to work or attend meetings after hours or on weekends. Compensation provided.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to three days per week, after successful completion of a six month probationary period and director approval. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Greensburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
