Posh Salon Suites is a premium salon suite with multiple properties across the Illinois. We lease suites to independent beauty professionals a first-class environment to run their businesses. We are looking for a driven, detail-oriented Assistant Operation Property Manager to support day-to-day property operations and help deliver an exceptional experience for our tenants. Our current locations include Northwest Highway in Chicago, Downers Grove, St. Charles, West Dundee, Algonquin, Joliet, Hazelcrest, Alsip with future locations to come. A company cell phone is provided — this person is expected to be responsive to calls and communications as they come in and handle and resolve urgent operational issues on the spot or partner with the Property Manager as needed for resolution. The ideal candidate is organized, people-oriented, and takes pride in delivering excellent service while keeping the Property Manager informed and operations on track.
Position Summary
The Assistant Operation Property Manager serves as the key liaison between tenants and the Property Manager, keeping operations running smoothly on the ground. This role handles day-to-day tenant communication, property inspections, work order coordination, contractor and housekeeping communication, and tenant file management. The ideal candidate is a team player, flexible, organized, people-oriented, and takes pride in delivering excellent service while keeping the Property Manager informed and operations on track.
Key Responsibilities
Property Inspections & Unit Management
- Conduct property visits and walkthroughs as needed by the business.
- Perform move-in and move-out inspections
- Document and report vacant unit conditions
- Ensure accountability on-site — confirm that housekeeping, contractors, and vendors are actively working and on task during their scheduled time on property by conducting on-site check-ins or technology available for confirmation.
Tenant Relations & Customer Service
- Serve as a point of contact for tenant calls, inquiries, and general customer service
- Address complaints and resolve issues when possible; partner with the Property Manager with issues and inquiries as needed.
- Communicate with tenants regarding delinquency and follow up as needed
- Keep the Property Manager informed and loop them in on matters requiring further attention and partner for solutions.
Work Order Management
- Receive, log, and dispatch work orders to the appropriate team
- Follow up on completion and provide status updates to the Property Manager
- Coordinate with contractors and housekeeping on tasks and projects
Housekeeping and Vendor Oversight
- Provide feedback and coaching to housekeeping staff on performance and outstanding items
- Identify and communicate areas needing attention with contractors and vendors.
- Partner with Property Manager for any employee HR or scheduling issues as they arise.
- Conduct on-site check-ins to verify that housekeeping staff, contractors, and vendors are actively engaged and working
Tenant Files & Administration
- Maintain organized tenant files and ensure all required documentation is current and complete
- Assist with employee documentation as needed or directed.
Technology & Property Systems
- Assist with on-property technology including electronic lock battery changes.
- Set and manage access policies for the property locking system.

You are a hard worker with background in the beauty industry or property management- ideally both. You understand how salons and beauty professions operate, and you also know what it takes to keep a property and salons smoothly. You know how this world operates and can connect with our tenants authentically. You are organized, but not rigid — you can shift gears quickly when the day demands it and get things done without letting process slow you down. You are flexible, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change. Above all, you are a people person who takes pride in keeping the business running smoothly.
Qualifications
- Experience in or familiarity with the beauty industry ( Retail Beauty/Management, salon, suite leasing) strongly preferred.
- Flexible and adaptable — able to shift priorities and move quickly when the situation calls for it
- Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to work efficiently without getting bogged down in process.
- Strong customer service and communication skills — both written and verbal
- Responsive and reachable — comfortable being on-call via company cell phone for urgent operational matters
- Prior experience in property management, facilities, or operations a plus
- Comfortable using property management software, work order systems, and electronic lock platforms
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required to the main office (up to 50% local driving. Company car provided for property visits)
