This is a hands-on field position. Applicants must be able to demonstrate the skills and experience listed on their application.
All candidates must complete an in-person, hands-on field assessment with management before being approved for work.

About MMLE
MMLE Contracting is a growing residential maintenance company serving property management companies, real estate investors, and residential clients throughout Alabama.
We need technicians who can walk into a property, diagnose an issue, determine the appropriate repair, complete quality work, document it properly, and communicate with our team.
What You'll Do
- Complete residential maintenance work orders
- Diagnose maintenance and repair issues
- Recommend practical, cost-effective solutions
- Complete repairs professionally and efficiently
- Upload clear before, during, and after photos
- Provide accurate job notes and documentation
- Communicate job status, delays, material needs, and changes with office staff
- Work independently in occupied and vacant properties
- Represent MMLE professionally with residents and clients
Trades We Need
We are looking for experienced technicians in one or more of the following:
- General Residential Maintenance
- Plumbing
- Electrical
- HVAC (Certified)
- Roofing
- Leak & Water Intrusion Diagnostics
- Drywall & Painting
- Carpentry
- Doors & Windows
- Flooring
- Appliance Installation & Repair
- Property Turns / Make Ready
- Punch List Repairs
Multi-trade technicians are strongly preferred. The more you can confidently perform, the more work opportunities may be available.
Minimum Requirements
- 3+ years of residential maintenance or skilled trade experience
- Own the tools necessary to perform your work
- Reliable truck or transportation
- Valid driver's license
- Working smartphone
- Ability to upload job photos and documentation
- Ability to communicate professionally with management and residents
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to travel within your assigned service area
- Must successfully complete MMLE's hands-on field assessment
Reliability Matters
We operate on scheduled appointments with residents and clients. Dependability is a requirement, not a preference.
Technicians are expected to:
- Arrive when scheduled
- Communicate immediately if an unavoidable issue occurs
- Complete accepted work orders as assigned
- Keep management updated while in the field
- Follow through on commitments
Repeated cancellations, no-shows, poor communication, or accepting work you are not qualified to perform will result in removal from our technician roster.
Our Hiring Process
Step 1 – Phone Screening
We'll discuss your experience, trades, availability, service area, tools, transportation, and the type of work you can confidently perform.
Step 2 – Hands-On Field Assessment – REQUIRED
Selected candidates will meet with MMLE management for an in-person field assessment.
You will be expected to demonstrate the skills you claim on your application.

Step 3 – Onboarding
Candidates who successfully complete the assessment may proceed with onboarding and become eligible to receive MMLE work orders.

Compensation & Schedule
Position: Independent Contractor / 1099
Pay: Paid per completed job
Payroll: Weekly via Direct Deposit
Schedule: Monday–Friday, based on workload and technician availability
Additional opportunities may be available for technicians with flexible schedules and multi-trade capabilities.
