The Health Promotion Research Center (HPRC) at Stephenson Cancer Center is seeking a detail oriented and motivated Laboratory Technician to support innovative behavioral health research. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of participant engagement and laboratory research while contributing to studies that focus on improving health and reducing cancer risk.
In this role, you’ll participate in every stage of the research process—from recruiting participants to conducting experiments and ensuring data quality—making you a vital part of meaningful, real world research.

What You’ll Do
Participant Recruitment & Engagement
- Recruit, enroll, and onboard research participants following approved protocols
- Serve as a key point of contact for participants throughout study involvement
- Track participant progress and conduct follow ups to ensure adherence to study procedures
Research & Laboratory Operations
- Plan, set up, and conduct controlled research experiments and trials
- Follow standardized procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy in all research activities
- Support ongoing studies focused on health behavior and cancer prevention
Data Collection & Quality Control
- Collect and document research data accurately and efficiently
- Perform daily quality control checks on research records
- Record, organize, and report findings in accordance with study protocols
