Job Description:
A Confidential Company is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join its growing team in High Point, NC. This is a first shift, Temp to Perm opportunity for individuals with hands on construction experience who take pride in producing quality work while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for building, renovating, and modifying commercial building structures using both wood and metal materials. Daily responsibilities include installing doors, walls, trim, and other structural components while working from blueprints and layout drawings. You will also assist with digging footers, pouring concrete, handling materials, and using a variety of power tools to complete projects safely and efficiently.
The ideal candidate is dependable, safety focused, comfortable working in a fast paced environment, and capable of performing physically demanding work throughout the shift.
Responsibilities:
- Work with wood and metal materials to construct and renovate building structures.
- Install doors, walls, trim, and other structural components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and tape measurements accurately.
- Dig footers and assist with concrete work.
- Operate power tools including circular saws, drills, reciprocating saws, and similar equipment.
- Load, move, and organize construction materials.
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
- Work effectively with team members to meet production and project deadlines.
Requirements:
- Previous carpentry or construction experience is required.
- Ability to read blueprints, layouts, and tape measures accurately.
- Experience safely operating common construction power tools.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds throughout the workday.
- Ability to step over and work on fixtures approximately 28 inches off the floor.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
Only candidates with directly related carpentry or construction experience will be considered.
This is not an entry level position and is not a training opportunity. Candidates without relevant experience will not be considered.
