Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automotive Mechanic to join our dynamic transportation company. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of ambulances and ambulettes to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Your expertise will help keep production running smoothly, minimize downtime, and uphold safety standards in our fleet. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with strong mechanical knowledge, and a passion for technical problem-solving.
Duties
- Perform routine inspections and perform preventive maintenance on a variety of diesel and gasoline ambulances and ambulettes (Toyota Siena Wheelchair Vans)
- Maintain accurate maintenance records through proprietary software and generate detailed reports on repairs performed.
- Perform diagnostic tests and use electronic tools to diagnose vehicle issues.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure working environment while working with high voltage systems or in confined spaces.
Qualifications
- ASE Certification.
- Valid Ohio drivers license with clean driving record.
- Proven mechanic experience preferably within a fleet environment.
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure that fleet vehicles run reliably and safely.
- Ability to use electronic tools to diagnose a vehicle’s problem
- Proficiency with hand tools and similar types of equipment
- Professionalism and the ability to work well in a team setting
- Additional preferred qualifications include experience working on Ambulances
