Principle Functions:
The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing clients with the best physical and psychosocial care available within the framework of Woman-to-Woman Pregnancy Resource Center (W2W)policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in nursing
- Have a current nursing license (RN) in good standing with the Texas Board of Nursing
- Have a current Healthcare Provider BLS certification
- Have nursing experience in labor & delivery or a OB-Gyn office (preferred)
- Agree with and be willing to uphold the W2W Mission, Statement of Faith, and Statement of Principal, and Core Values
- Have an ability to recognize extra-biblical values while not allowing them to become a barrier to relating to a client or volunteer
- Have knowledge of Scripture especially pertaining to the sanctity of human life, forgiveness and salvation
- Be dependable, stable and capable of following through on commitments
- Be willing to complete W2W Advocate Training and limited obstetrical ultrasound
- techniques.
- Be a committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
- Be actively involved in a local New Testament church.
- Act as a minister of the gospel of Christ.
Responsibility:
- Provide exemplary and appropriate client services including; Medical Consults and Education
- Pregnancy Tests
- Limited obstetric ultrasounds (training provided with commitment)
- STI/STD Testing and Education
- Pregnancy and Resource Intakes
- Attend required Clinic staff meetings, Clinic in-services, All-Staff meetings, and W2W events
- Review charts for completion and accuracy
- Maintain clinic supplies and communicates needs of clinic to Clinic Manager/Director
- Comply with OSHA, HIPAA and other applicable regulatory organizations
- Collaborate with the Clinic Manager/Director to update and maintain a list of useful community resources and referrals for W2W clients
- Maintain a current professional medical license and Healthcare Provider BLS certification
- Positively represent W2W in the community particularly as a representative of medical services
- Take an active role in increasing knowledge of obstetrical, gynecological care, STI’s and women’s health issues through appropriate reading material, seminars, area PRC nurse affiliation, etc.
- Reach out with the love of Christ to people in distress
- Respect confidentiality of clients, volunteers and staff
Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
