Job Summary
The Town of Baileyton is currently accepting applications for full time police officers. Employment is open to those US citizens/ permanent legal residents of at least eighteen (18) years of age with a HS diploma/GED. Those applying must complete and pass a physical exam. Applicants must not have any Felony convictions or Misdemeanors that would be in contradiction with good moral character and not been released/discharged from any US armed forces for dishonorable conditions or previously decertified by the Commission as a law enforcement officer. APPLICATIONS CAN BE PICKED UP AND SUBMITTED 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday - Friday AT Baileyton Town Hall 6530 Horton Hwy Greeneville TN 37745.
Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned areas to deter and detect criminal activity.
- Respond promptly to calls for service, emergencies, and incidents.
- Conduct thorough investigations of crimes and incidents, gathering evidence and information.
- Prepare detailed reports documenting incidents, arrests, and investigations.
- Enforce traffic laws and regulations, conducting traffic stops as necessary.
- Engage with the community to build trust and foster positive relationships.
- Provide first aid and emergency assistance when required.
- Manage conflicts effectively to ensure public safety.
- Handle animals in distress or involved in incidents, ensuring their care and safety.
- Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies as needed.
