Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Electrician Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in supporting electricians in various tasks related to electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electrical work and be eager to learn from experienced professionals in both industrial and commercial settings.
Duties
- Assist electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
- Support the installation of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems as needed.
- Conduct tests using an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools to ensure proper functionality of electrical components.
- Follow National Electrical Code (NEC) guidelines to maintain safety standards on the job site.
- Participate in construction activities, including frame carpentry when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites.
Experience
- Previous experience as an industrial or commercial electrician is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with electrical systems, including low voltage and high voltage applications.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters.
- Experience reading blueprints and schematics is highly valued.
