We're looking for a mechatronics or mechanical engineer with a dynamic mechanical engineering-based skill set who is excited to join Veebot at an early stage and take on a lot of responsibility. The position focuses on designing and building prototypes for automated needle insertion systems. We're looking for candidates who share a passion for exploring and solving complex problems at the intersection of medical imaging, computer vision, and robotics. Position based out of Miami, Florida.
</div></div><div></div><div><div><div><div><b>RESPONSIBILITIES</b>
<ul><li>Lead Veebot mechanical engineering efforts</li>
<li>Create CAD drawings of new prototypes</li>
<li>Build prototypes for automated needle insertion system</li>
<li>Oversee outsourced mechanical and industrial design work</li>
<li>Create mechatronic systems to automate system setup and cleanup</li>
<li>Collaborate with team members to integrate subsystems</li>
<li>Report to CEO on progress</li>
</ul><br>
<b>KEY QUALIFICATIONS</b>
<ul><li>Masters in Mechanical Engineering with focus on design, robotics or mechatronics from top university</li>
<li>Self-starter</li>
<li>CAD expertise required</li>
<li>3+ year&rsquo;s experience with rapid prototyping, 3D printing and use of CNC</li>
<li>Hands on experience building prototype devices and bench testing required</li>
<li>Fundamental mechatronic skills in EE, coding, and mechanical engineering</li>
<li>Experience programming microcontrollers</li>
<li>Intermediate C/C++ coding skills</li>
<li>Knowledge in using electrical lab test equipment, including Oscilloscopes, Digital Signal Analyzers, LCR meters is important</li>
<li>Outsource mechanical and industrial design work as needed</li>
<li>Assist with writing patent applications as needed</li>
</ul><br>
<b>PREFERRED </b><b>QUALIFICATIONS</b>
<ul><li>PhD in Mechanical engineering with a focus on design, robotics, or mechatronics</li>
<li>5+ year&rsquo;s experience with rapid prototyping, 3D printing and use of CNC</li>
<li>Advanced C/C++ coding skills</li>
<li>Skills in designing and debugging custom PCBs for testing</li>
<li>Industrial design experience</li>
</ul><br>
<b>ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS</b>
<ul><li>Occasional travel will be required</li></ul></div></div></div></div></div>
