About IBF Consulting
IBF Consulting is a boutique Managed Service Provider (MSP) based in New York City. We're a small, experienced team that values technical excellence, responsiveness, and long-term client relationships. Since 2003, we've provided IT consulting and managed services to financial services firms, private equity firms, law firms, and other professional organizations throughout the New York metropolitan area.
We're looking for a Systems Engineer who enjoys solving technical problems, working directly with clients, taking ownership of projects, and continuously learning new technologies.
This is not a large corporate IT department. You'll work directly with clients, have significant autonomy, and be exposed to a broad range of technologies rather than being limited to a narrow support role.
Our engineers split their time between remote support and onsite client visits, primarily in Manhattan. If you enjoy variety, learning new technologies, and building long-term client relationships, we'd love to meet you.
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain Windows-based networks for multiple clients
- Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
- Manage Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams
- Troubleshoot desktops, servers, Microsoft 365 environments, networking equipment, and cloud services.
- Support firewalls, VPNs, wireless networks, and Internet connectivity
- Participate in infrastructure projects, including server upgrades, Microsoft 365 migrations, cybersecurity initiatives, and cloud deployments
- Document systems, procedures, and client environments
- Deliver outstanding customer service while communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical users
Qualifications
- 2–5 years supporting Microsoft-based business environments
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory
- Experience administering Microsoft 365
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies
- Experience supporting Windows 10 and Windows 11
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent customer service skills and a professional, client-facing demeanor
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP)
- Hyper-V
- Cisco Meraki, Aruba, or similar networking equipment
- Microsoft Intune
- Microsoft or CompTIA certifications

Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
