Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and dependable Housekeeper/Laundry Worker to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests or residents. Your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness will ensure that all spaces meet the highest standards of hygiene and presentation. At least 1 year of hotel housekeeping experience required.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, common areas, and public spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Handle laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens, towels, and clothing items efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and floor care procedures to ensure safety and aesthetic appeal.
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, linens, and cleaning materials to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Follow established safety and sanitation protocols while handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning activities to the appropriate department promptly.
- Assist with janitorial tasks as needed to support overall facility cleanliness and organization.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services within hospitality or residential environments.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning.
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping standards or industrial cleaning practices is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform thorough cleaning efficiently.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively throughout shifts.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience managing housekeeping operations or supervising staff is a plus for those interested in housekeeper management roles.
