Location: St. James, MO
Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
Job Summary
The Therapy Aide provides for the physical and emotional needs of the clients assigned to the program and facilitates a healthy environment for therapy to be conducted. The Therapy Aide will participate in a multi-disciplinary treatment team in the care of clients.
Task Expectations

Operates according to KVC’s model of care and program operations manual.

Functions within Agency’s policies and procedures (i.e. Employee Handbook)

Manage youth using safe crisis management without the need for therapeutic holds.

Role models positive behaviors and coping skills for clients, using a strength-based approach in all interactions.

Maintains the safety and security of the clients in care and attends to their needs in a nurturing way.

Transports residents to and from therapy sessions
-
Supervises clients in therapy sessions and encourages participation in therapy activities.

Works to schedule and organize client therapy schedules.

Helps to maintain a safe environment for therapeutic sessions.

Other duties may be assigned according to qualification of staff and development of programs.

Performs other duties as needed for the betterment of KVC.
Minimum Requirements
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalency
Licensure/Certification:
-
Possesses a current, valid MO Class E driver's license with a good driving record or must be able to obtain one within 2 weeks of employment.

Current / valid auto insurance that meets the KVC-Missouri requirements.

All employees must be at least 21 years of age.
Preferred Experience/Skills:

Experience working with children and families in a trauma informed environment.
