As we continue to grow, we are looking for an organized, proactive, and experienced Truck Dispatcher to join our operations team.
Position Summary
The Truck Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating daily freight operations, dispatching drivers, monitoring shipments, communicating with customers and brokers, and ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable truck utilization. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment and has strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispatch company drivers efficiently while maximizing equipment utilization.
- Coordinate pickups, deliveries, appointment scheduling, and route planning.
- Monitor driver Hours of Service (HOS) and ELD compliance.
- Communicate with brokers, shippers, receivers, and drivers throughout each shipment.
- Track loads and provide proactive shipment updates to customers.
- Resolve scheduling conflicts, delays, and service issues quickly.
- Negotiate freight rates when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate dispatch records and shipment documentation.
- Coordinate maintenance scheduling with drivers to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and California transportation regulations.
- Assist with load planning and capacity management.
- Support after-hours operations when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of truck dispatching or transportation operations experience.
- Knowledge of dry van trucking operations.
- Familiarity with DAT Load Board, Truckstop, Motive ELD, Samsara, or similar transportation software.
- Strong understanding of Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) is a plus.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary: $55,000–$65,000 annually
