Join our dynamic team as a CDL A Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight across diverse routes with energy and precision! This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a variety of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, and more. We supply the truck. This position is not for current owner operators. We do NOT have a lease-to-own program.
This is a 1099 position.
Duties
- Safely operate a range of commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds
- Follow designated routes for delivery and pick-up, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle inspections in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues promptly.
- Assist with special cargo requirements such as oversized loads on flatbeds, step decks.
Skills
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to handle various vehicle types including tractor-trailers, flatbed trailers. Must be able to tarp when/where needed.
- Strong knowledge of route driving, load & unload procedures, and freight handling techniques.
- Ability to drive safely over long distances while managing fatigue and maintaining focus.
- Familiarity with forklift operation for loading/unloading when necessary.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers and customers.
