Join our vibrant team as a Boba Tea Barista, at gravitea lake zurich . serving delicious, handcrafted bubble teas and specialty beverages. In this energetic role, you'll create refreshing drinks, provide exceptional customer service, and create a welcoming atmosphere for every guest and party. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of bubble teas, coffee beverages, and other specialty drinks with precision and flair
- Operate POS systems , register .
- Manage cash handling, cashiering, and basic retail math to ensure correct payments and change distribution
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation areas, including food handling and food safety procedures
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and offering product recommendations
- Manage time effectively, less phone stuff please during busy periods to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling ingredients, topping drinks, and ( maintaining stock levels , inventory!
Requirements
- Previous barista or café experience is highly preferred;( but not necessary) experience with coffee or bubble tea is a plus
- Strong knowledge of POS systems is great but we train also.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Effective time management skills to handle high-volume periods efficiently
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate order processing
- Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and proper sanitation practices
- Ability to stand for extended periods, move quickly between tasks, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
