Position Overview
The Accounts Payable Technician is responsible for managing the company’s accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. This role requires a solid understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in accounting software.
Responsibilities

Process and verify invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies

Manage vendor accounts, including setting up new vendors and maintaining accurate records

Perform account reconciliation to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded

Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable

Collaborate with the accounting team to resolve discrepancies and issues related to payments

Maintain documentation for all transactions

Utilize Accounting system for data entry and reporting

Support payroll processing as needed, ensuring accuracy in employee reimbursements related to expenses
Requirements

Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Experience with account reconciliation and financial reporting is highly desirable

Proficiency in accounting software is essential

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment

Strong communication skills

Experience working within ERP systems (COINS preferred)

Understanding of accounting principles

The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
