Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – CVOR
Location: Mishawaka, Indiana
Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Schedule: 8-hour day shift
Hours: 40 hours/week

On-Call: Yes – approximately 14 days per month
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – CVOR for a long-term assignment in a hospital surgical department. The ideal candidate will have strong cardiovascular operating room experience and be comfortable supporting surgical procedures in a fast-paced environment.
This position offers a day shift schedule of 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with approximately 14 days of call per month.
Responsibilities
- Assist the surgical team during cardiovascular and other surgical procedures.
- Prepare and maintain the operating room before, during, and after procedures.
- Ensure surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies are properly prepared and available.
- Maintain sterile technique throughout surgical procedures.
- Anticipate the needs of surgeons and other members of the surgical team.
- Pass instruments and supplies during procedures as required.
- Assist with surgical counts and maintain accurate documentation.
Requirements
- Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.
- Previous CVOR / Cardiovascular Operating Room experience required.
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operating room environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work the scheduled 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM shift.
- Ability to participate in approximately 14 days of call per month.
- Relevant credentials and certifications must be current and in good standing.
