Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Pharmacist in Charge to lead our pharmacy operations with enthusiasm and expertise. In this vital role, you will oversee medication management, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster excellent patient service. Your leadership will help us uphold the highest standards of pharmaceutical care while supporting our mission to eliminate health disparities in the community.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining prescription records for at least three years.
- Accepting responsibility of ensuring that pharmacy follows statutes and regulations pertinent to the practice of pharmacy.
- Ensuring compliance with all federal and state laws pertaining to the dispensing of medications.
- Ensuring security of fax transmissions of prescriptions.
- Assuring security of prescription drugs, including controlled substances.
- Notifying NCBOP of any change in pharmacist personnel within 30 days of such change.
- Fostering teamwork , team member engagement and community involvement
- Committing to leveraging diversity and inclusion in support of quality care.
- Fostering a safe patient environment driven by the principles of "First Do No Harm".
- Managing pharmacy staff, equipment and the pharmacy facility.
- Implementing ongoing management/risk assessment of pharmacy automation and informatics.
- Implementing ongoing administration of the 340B program as directed by Goshen Medical Center.
- Determining resource needs and priorities and making recommendations to management.
- Corresponding with Pharmacy Director and Pharmacy Program Manager to optimize sharing of information, use of state resources, and services provided.
- Functioning with considerable independence and receiving administrative supervision from the Pharmacy Director and Pharmacy Program Manager.
Experience
- Proven experience practicing as a licensed pharmacist.
- Demonstrated success managing pharmacy teams in fast-paced environments
- Strong knowledge of drug regulation, healthcare compliance, anatomy, medical terminology, and pharmacy operations
- Experience with pharmacy software systems and managing inventory effectively
- Prior experience working within community settings with an emphasis on patient service and confidentiality policies

Pay: From $130,000.00 per year
