American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a high-volume, Level IV Maternal Designation facility in Austin, TX, requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and intermediate fetal monitoring certification.

Labor & Delivery unit at a Level IV Maternal Designation academic teaching facility

Unit includes 20 LDR suites, 4 C-section suites, 10 triage rooms, 51 Mother-Baby Couplet rooms, and 14 monitored antepartum beds
-
High-risk, fast-paced environment performing 500+ deliveries per month
-
24-hour in-house attending OB, anesthesia, and NICU coverage on-site

Perinatal Transport Program in place

Facility is expanding to a new Women's Tower in mid-2026

Night shift: 18:45–07:15

13-week contract
-
Active TX RN license or compact license with TX as the issuing state required
-
Current BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross required
-
Current ACLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross required
-
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from AAP required
-
Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification required

Minimum 2 years of L&D/Perinatal experience in a high-volume delivery service required

Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required

Valid US Social Security Number and US home address required

Driver's License, 2 professional references, and copies of certifications required for consideration

Full DOB and full SSN required for consideration

Care for high-risk obstetric patients across labor, delivery, triage, and antepartum settings
-
Works alongside large private OB practices and an academic teaching service
-
3–5 years of Perinatal clinical experience in a high-volume setting is preferred

BSN and Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification are preferred
-
S.T.A.B.L.E. Program certification is preferred
