Job Summary

Duties
- Operate lawn mowers, trimmers, edgers, and other power tools to maintain grass and landscape features efficiently.
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, mulching, and weed control to enhance the aesthetic appeal of outdoor spaces.
- Use hand tools and ground maintenance equipment to install and repair irrigation systems, ensuring proper watering of plants and lawns.
- Identify various plants, trees, and shrubs to support healthy growth and proper landscape design.
- Manage pesticide application following safety protocols to control pests while protecting the environment.
- Conduct tree trimming and pruning to promote safety and healthy growth of trees on the property.
- Assist with hardscape projects including the installation or repair of pathways, patios, or retaining walls.
- Follow safety procedures rigorously during all outdoor activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Support snow plowing operations during winter months to keep pathways clear and safe for visitors.
- Maintain grounds by cleaning debris, removing hazards, and ensuring all equipment is properly stored after use.
Experience
- Prior outdoor work experience or landscaping background is highly preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge related to lawn care equipment, power tools, and irrigation systems is advantageous.
- Familiarity with grounds maintenance equipment operation including excavators or other construction-related machinery is a plus.
- Knowledge of horticulture principles such as plant identification, tree care, and garden management enhances your effectiveness in this role.
- Demonstrated ability to follow safety protocols diligently during outdoor work activities.
- Experience with snow plowing or hardscape installation adds value to your skill set.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
