General Purpose: Under supervision and within credit union policy provides variety of service functions involving the receipting and/or disbursing of funds, via checks, money orders, direct deposit and direct payments. Provide assistance and follow-up to members and staff of Mid Minnesota Federal Credit Union.
Fundamental Duties:
1. Responsible to maintain the highest standards of Integrity, Personal Responsibility, Sense of Community, and Teamwork by self-example within and outside Mid-Minnesota Federal Credit Union.
2. Responsible for building member loyalty through an uncompromised commitment to meeting and exceeding members’ expectations.
3. Responsible to develop and maintain relationships with credit union members by determining member needs and maximizing all opportunities to sell additional credit union products and services.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
1. Responsible to handle members requests per member’s directions with complete accuracy in a timely manner.
2. Make decisions when accepting checks and be responsible to follow established policy guidelines reducing risk and monetary losses by following all procedures, following up on restrictions while maintaining acceptable service standards.
3. Comply with all federal and NCUA regulations to include but not limited to (Reg CC, Bank Secrecy Act, Reg D, Truth in Savings.)
4. Receive share deposits and make share withdrawals and transfers, VISA credit card payments, VISA advances, loan payments, mortgage payments.
5. Refer credit union services that best meet the member’s financial needs. To include product accounts and electronic delivery channels.
6. Provide official checks/money orders.
7. Redeem Savings Bonds.
8. Completing CTR reports when members exceed the threshold set by federal regulations.
9. Operate and balance coin machine.
10. Operate postage machine for outgoing mail, prepare and process mail.
11. Submit checks thru our Check Imaging system.
12. Opens and closes building daily, ensuring alarm system is activated and deactivated. Must be able to process day end reports.
13. Maintain security and be responsible for cash drawer, open and close the computer terminal; account for assigned cash and accurately balance to the computer balance sheet.
14. Responsible for day ending balancing of inventory items and closing out the VISA advances.
15. Finding errors in paperwork in a timely manner and correcting them with supervisor’s help.
16. Deposit and Member Service Functions:
17. Process a variety of transactions for members including but not limited to the opening and closing of accounts including personal savings and checking accounts, Term Share accounts, etc. Responsible for performing stop payments, researching and balancing accounts, and enrolling member for direct deposits and ACH origination.
18. Effectively explain credit union products and services to members. Cross-sell products and services when appropriate.
19. Communicates with members requiring assistance in account usage, account balance and balancing information, inquiries, copy requests, change of address, and similar account usage and administers the appropriate procedures to process the items.
20. Opens and closes safe deposit boxes, takes members to their boxes and directs them to the reviewing room, reviews safe deposit procedures for new members, keeps a log of rented and non-rented boxes and ensures all keys to non-rented boxes are secure.
Other Duties/Responsibilities
1. Research account information or discrepancies for members at their request.
2. Process check orders, make address changes, direct loan documents and other correspondence to correct departments.
3. Close accounts when requested, according to procedure.
4. Count, sort, and wrap coin received as necessary.
5. Scan receipts and documents into the imaging system
6. Take part in all required training sessions and use educational materials available through the Credit Union.
7. Other duties as assigned.
