..We are looking for an experienced Operating Foreman to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing residential and commercial construction projects, from planning and scheduling to budgeting and quality control. The ideal candidate will have a background in construction management, excavation experience, ability to read blueprints, calculate grades, work with shoring, excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, a willingness to train, and the ability to work with a wide variety of people. This is a hands-on position where you are working onsite and must have extensive knowledge of excavation and underground utilities as well as the ability to oversee jobs. Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of subcontractors and other personnel on the job site to meet project goals and deadlines. Adjust as needed for efficiency.
- Set daily benchmarks and delegate tasks to assure they are achieved.
- Ensure that all safety regulations and company policies are followed.
- Ensure that all construction materials and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
- Adapt to changing environments including soil conditions, weather, plan changes, scheduling and traffic.
- Schedule and coordinate construction activities to meet deadlines.
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Develop relationships and communicate with employees, vendors, subcontractors, general contractors, utilities, inspectors, customers, etc.
- Adhere to city, county, and state regulations.
- Read blueprints and forecast labor and materials.
- Maintain accurate daily reports for man hours, equipment, materials and site conditions.
- Forecast and coordinate equipment, materials and man hours to be the most efficient while onsite.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
