Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
- Handle chemical agents safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures to ensure a secure environment.
- Conduct custodial tasks including trash removal, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitation of high-touch areas.
- Operate cleaning machinery and equipment efficiently while adhering to safety protocols for manual handling and heavy lifting.
- Maintain facilities by assisting with minor maintenance tasks or reporting issues requiring professional repair.
- Support industrial or commercial cleaning projects by applying specialized techniques such as buffing or floor care treatments.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to facility needs and ensuring a clean, welcoming environment.
Requirements
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and safety procedures related to chemical handling.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment including floor buffers and other custodial tools safely and effectively.
- Physical stamina for manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety compliance.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented mindset.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices and basic residential painting or industrial cleaning is a plus.
