La Vigneta Winery & Italian Grill
About the Role
La Vigneta Winery & Italian Grill is looking for an enthusiastic, dependable, and hospitality-minded individual to join our team as a Front of House Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has experience in restaurants or hospitality and is ready to take the next step in their career. You do not need years of management experience to be successful in this role. We are looking for someone with strong leadership potential, a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a genuine passion for creating a great guest experience.
As a Front of House Manager, you will work closely with our leadership team to oversee daily front-of-house operations, support and develop our staff, and help create the welcoming, energetic atmosphere that our guests have come to expect from La Vigneta.
This position is designed for someone who wants to learn, grow, and build a career with our company. As you develop your leadership and operational skills, there will be opportunities to take on additional responsibilities and advance within the organization.
What You'll Do
- Help oversee daily front-of-house operations and ensure a smooth, welcoming experience for every guest.
- Lead by example by providing warm, attentive, and knowledgeable hospitality.
- Support servers, bartenders, hosts, and other front-of-house team members throughout each shift.
- Assist with opening, closing, and daily restaurant procedures.
- Help organize and manage staff schedules and shift coverage.
- Conduct or assist with pre-shift meetings and communicate daily priorities to the team.
- Train and coach team members on service standards, hospitality, POS procedures, food safety, and restaurant policies.
- Provide positive feedback and constructive coaching to help team members improve and grow.
- Learn to effectively manage guest concerns and resolve service issues with professionalism and confidence.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming dining room, bar, and guest areas.
- Assist with cash handling, register procedures, and end-of-shift reconciliation.
- Learn and assist with inventory management, ordering, receiving, and waste control.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to maintain communication and an efficient flow of service.
- Support winery events, private parties, banquets, catering, and other special events.
- Develop knowledge of our food, wine, cocktails, and other beverage offerings so you can confidently support both guests and staff.
- Help ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
- Assist leadership with monitoring labor, sales, inventory, and other operational goals.
- Look for opportunities to improve service, efficiency, teamwork, and the overall guest experience.
- Take on additional responsibilities as your knowledge, confidence, and leadership abilities develop.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who may be new to management but is ready to grow into a leadership role.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous restaurant, hospitality, retail, or customer-service experience.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and making people feel welcome.
- A positive, energetic, and team-oriented attitude.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to lead by example and earn the respect of a team.
- A willingness to learn and accept coaching and feedback.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to stay calm during busy periods.
- Dependability, accountability, and a strong work ethic.
- The ability to make decisions and solve problems in a professional manner.
- A willingness to learn restaurant operations, wine, food, and beverage service.
- Basic math and cash-handling skills.
- The ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.
Previous supervisory or management experience is helpful, but not required. We are more interested in finding someone with the right attitude, work ethic, and potential to become an excellent leader.
Growth & Development
At La Vigneta, we believe great managers are developed, not simply hired.
You will have the opportunity to learn the different aspects of our operation and gradually take on greater responsibility. We will provide guidance, training, and hands-on experience as you develop your management skills.
As you grow in the role, you may have opportunities to become involved in:
- Team leadership and employee development
- Scheduling and labor management
- Inventory and purchasing
- Wine and beverage education
- Private events and catering
- Restaurant financial and operational reporting
- Training and development programs
- Guest experience and service standards
- New initiatives and special projects
- Increased leadership and management responsibilities
We are looking for someone who sees this position as more than just a job. If you are motivated to learn the business, develop your leadership skills, and grow with a company, this could be a great opportunity to build your hospitality career.
What We Offer
- A supportive, team-oriented work environment
- Hands-on training and management development
- Opportunities for advancement within the company
- The opportunity to learn about Italian food, wine, and hospitality
- A dynamic environment with opportunities to work with guests, events, and our growing hospitality team
- The chance to make a meaningful impact on our guests' experience and our team's success
The La Vigneta Standard

We are looking for a future leader who understands that the little things matter: welcoming guests with a smile, supporting a teammate during a busy service, knowing when to step in, taking ownership when something goes wrong, and always looking for a way to make the experience better.
If you're ready to take the next step in your hospitality career and want the opportunity to learn, lead, and grow with La Vigneta, we want to meet you.
