Duties
- Assist with food preparation, ensuring ingredients are ready for cooking and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness by cleaning workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment regularly
- Support food running and serving duties to ensure timely delivery of orders to guests
- Handle bussing responsibilities by clearing tables and resetting dining areas efficiently
- Practice safe manual handling and heavy lifting techniques when moving supplies or equipment
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Use POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and guest transactions
- Support banquet setups and cleanup to uphold high standards of hospitality and guest service
- Assist with in-person customer service, ensuring guests receive friendly, attentive support
Skills
- Proven experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and safe lifting practices
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and interact with guests effectively
- Experience with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred
- Familiarity with food preparation, running, serving, and bussing in a fast-paced setting
- Previous banquet experience is a plus for supporting large events or functions
- Excellent teamwork skills combined with a positive attitude towards hospitality excellence
