Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately while adhering to pharmaceutical regulations and state laws
- Provide comprehensive medication counseling to patients and healthcare providers, ensuring understanding of drug regimens and potential side effects
- Maintain detailed documentation within Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems for medication administration, patient care notes, and regulatory compliance
- Stay current with pharmaceutical regulations, drug updates, and advancements in pharmacology to provide evidence-based recommendations and ensure pharmacy compliance
- Oversee pharmacy information systems (PIS) for medication ordering, inventory management, and drug regulation adherence
Requirements
- Valid pharmacist license in good standing with California state board
- Retail Pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in Digital Rx Pharmacy Systems preferred
- Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care and assessment
- Armenian speaking preferred
