Overview:
Join Full Circle of Choices, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing independent and supported living services, as well as community-based services to adults with developmental disabilities, empowering them to live in their own homes and find belonging in communities of their choosing. We are currently seeking passionate individuals to join our team as Independent Living Skills ("ILS") Instructors in Contra Costa County. Duties:
As an ILS Instructor, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct support and care to individuals with disabilities
- Assisting clients with daily tasks to facilitate independent living
- Implementing strategies to achieve positive health outcomes
- Collaborating with clients to work towards their goals
- Engaging individuals in social and educational activities
- Communicating effectively with clients, families, and team members
Experience:
Required or nice-to-have skills for this position include:
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities
- Strong drive and motivation to make a difference
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Background in caregiving, direct support, social work, or special education
- Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum
In addition to the above, all applicants must be able to pass a criminal background check , as well as possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
