Job Summary
JS Community Services, LLC is seeking a compassionate and experienced Qualified Developmental Disabilities Professional (QDDP) to oversee and coordinate services for individuals receiving Virginia Developmental Disability (DD) Waiver In-Home Support services. The QDDP will ensure person-centered, high-quality services while maintaining compliance with Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS), Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS), Medicaid Waiver, and agency requirements. Similar Virginia QDDP positions emphasize program oversight, assessments, documentation quality, and regulatory compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct intake assessments and annual reassessments.
- Develop, review, and monitor Individual Support Plans (ISPs).
- Ensure services are delivered according to approved authorizations and person-centered goals.
- Provide clinical guidance and supervision to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).
- Review daily documentation, progress notes, and service records for accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews and corrective action when necessary.
- Participate in ISP meetings with individuals, families, Support Coordinators, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Complete quarterly and annual reviews.
- Monitor health, safety, human rights, and risk management plans.
- Assist with incident reporting and follow-up investigations.
- Maintain compliance with DBHDS, DMAS, Medicaid Waiver, and agency policies.
- Provide staff training and ongoing coaching.
- Maintain accurate electronic documentation in Therap and WaMS (preferred).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Sociology, Special Education, Rehabilitation Counseling, or a related human services field.
- Meets Virginia qualifications for a Qualified Developmental Disabilities Professional (QDDP/QIDP).
- Minimum one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (preferred).
- Knowledge of Virginia DD Waiver regulations and person-centered planning.
- Experience with WaMS and Therap preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Valid Virginia driver's license and reliable transportation.

Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- Occasional evenings for ISP meetings
- On-call as needed
Work Location
Hybrid – Office, community, and client homes throughout Hampton Roads.
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
