Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and highly trained Armed Guard with a valid Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) permit and an Exposed Firearm Permit to ensure the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and visitors. Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility using surveillance tools such as CCTV systems to monitor activity and identify potential security threats.
- Manage access control systems by verifying credentials, performing background checks on visitors or contractors, and ensuring only authorized personnel enter restricted areas.
- Respond swiftly to incidents by writing detailed incident reports, de-escalating conflicts through conflict management techniques, and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency responders as necessary.
- Handle firearms responsibly by adhering strictly to firearm handling protocols, performing safety checks, and maintaining readiness for emergency response situations.
- Perform physical security tasks including heavy lifting when necessary, manual handling of equipment or materials, and maintaining perimeter integrity through patrolling.
- Execute emergency response procedures such as CPR, AED operation, first aid administration, and fire safety protocols to protect lives during crises.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors politely while maintaining a secure environment and addressing any security concerns professionally.
Qualifications
- Valid CCW (Concealed Carry Weapon) permit and Exposed Firearm Permit required; must demonstrate responsible firearm handling skills.
- Proven experience in security roles with knowledge of surveillance systems like CCTV and access control systems.
- Strong background in law enforcement, military service, or related fields preferred; familiarity with incident report writing is essential.
- Certifications in first aid, CPR, AED operation, Taser use, and fire safety are highly desirable.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting, manual handling, patrolling for extended periods, and quick response during emergencies.
- Excellent conflict de-escalation skills combined with the ability to manage stressful situations calmly and effectively.
- Knowledge of compliance with security regulations, emergency procedures, and incident management protocols is required for success in this role.
- Former Military or Law Enforcement preferred.
