Job Summary
looking for a Motivated and reliable kitchen team member seeking employment as a Cook, Prep Cook / Dishwasher. Experienced in food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting smooth kitchen operations in fast-paced environments. We are a Sports bar / tavern serving burgers, sandwiches, flatbreads, tacos, nachos and many different appetizers and a few specialty items like rib eye, scampi , poke.
Responsibilities
- Cook Duties:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
Prep Cook Duties:
- Wash, chop, slice, and prepare ingredients for cooking
- Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes
- Label and store food properly following food safety regulations
- Assist other cooks during busy service periods
Dishwasher Duties:
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized dish area
- Take out trash and assist with general kitchen cleaning
- Follow health and sanitation guidelines
- Ensure food presentation and portion control meet restaurant guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of cooking stations
- Monitor food inventory and communicate shortages
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide within healthcare or hospitality settings
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations from restaurant or food industry environments
- Knowledge of menu planning, food safety standards, and proper food handling practices
- Skilled in culinary techniques including knife skills, meal preparation, and fine dining presentation
- Experience working in catering or large-scale food service operations preferred
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
