Overview
Join Easy Wag as a Front Desk Receptionist and Dog Handler, where you will be the welcoming face of our daycare and also fill shifts in the room with our lovely pups. This role combines exceptional customer service with hands-on animal care to create a warm environment for people and pups. We are looking for someone energetic, detail-oriented, and most importantly, someone who loves dogs just as much as we do!
Duties
- Greet clients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service and answering inquiries about services and pet care.
- Manage appointment scheduling (daycare, boarding, grooming, services), check-ins, and check-outs on our program called Pet Exec to ensure things run smoothly for all humans and fur-iends alike!
- Handle dogs safely, ensuring their comfort and safety during interactions.
- Conduct cleaning duties in the daycare area and front desk to maintain a clean and safe environment for all pups and people!
Skills
- At least two years of experience in dog training or handling is mandatory for this role. You must have the capability of demonstrating patience and confidence around animals of all temperaments and sizes.
- Strong animal handling skills, including restraint techniques for safety. You also must understand "dog language" to prevent potential incidents/altercations between dogs. Safety first, always!
- Ability to read and understand core vaccinations for Daycare, Boarding and Grooming.
- Customer Service/Front Desk experience is mandatory for this role. Experience with Pet Exec is a bonus!
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary, such as lifting dogs or supplies safely.
- Understands animal care practices and overall understanding of dog health and safety.
- Has AKC training and an Animal Handling Certificate preferred.
