The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and equipment maintenance, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and related equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical issues in diesel engines and related systems.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on various types of diesel-powered equipment.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete repairs efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their equipment needs.
- Operate forklifts safely when moving equipment or parts within the shop.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve departmental goals.
Experience
- Proven experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance is required.
- Familiarity with equipment repair processes and safety standards.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to transmit technical information clearly.
- Previous customer service experience is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
