Job Description
Overview
A new 90-bed acute care hospital opening in Spring 2026 in Gainesville, Florida is seeking a Physical Therapist to join its inpatient rehabilitation and acute care therapy team.
This state-of-the-art facility will include comprehensive emergency services, advanced surgical programs, and a 30-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit. The Physical Therapist will play a key role in helping patients regain strength, restore mobility, and improve independence following illness, injury, or surgery.

Responsibilities
Evaluate patient mobility, strength, and functional limitations
Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to restore function and reduce pain
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed
Document therapy outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
Educate patients and families on exercises, safety techniques, and recovery strategies
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care
Mentor therapy assistants and students when applicable
Qualifications
Required
State Licensed Physical Therapist
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire
Preferred
