Responsibilities
- Safely transport prepared food from the kitchen to tables or designated areas, ensuring presentation quality and temperature are maintained.
- Assist servers by delivering dishes efficiently and accurately, supporting smooth service flow during busy hours.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service station, including bussing tables and resetting areas for new guests.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to confirm order accuracy and special requests.
- Support food safety protocols by handling dishes properly and adhering to sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of orders and exceptional guest experiences.
- Assist in setting up banquet or event spaces as needed, supporting overall restaurant operations.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key.
- Familiarity with food handling, safety standards, and basic culinary procedures enhances performance in this role.
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous for efficient order management.
- Background in banquet service, catering, or hotel hospitality can be beneficial for supporting diverse guest needs.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude are essential for working effectively within a team.
- Prior kitchen experience or culinary knowledge helps in understanding food presentation and timing requirements.
