IC Construction is growing and seeking an experienced, travel-ready Concrete Finisher Lead to assist with running a concrete crew and supporting commercial projects nationwide. Individuals receive a daily per diem and travel accommodation when applicable.
This full-time role requires nationwide travel. While candidates located in Iowa or Wisconsin are preferred, we welcome applications from qualified individuals residing in other states. The ideal candidate should be based in one of the following states due to current project locations: Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Texas, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Minnesota, or Illinois.
IC Construction Company is a general contractor based out of Swisher, Iowa with a branch office in Green Bay, Wisconsin. In 2010 IC Construction started as a concrete subcontractor but has since expanded into providing full general contractor services, including self-performing concrete, carpentry, and steel erection trades.
Job Duties:
- Read and interpret blueprints; perform layout of foundations, walls, anchor bolts, and embedded items
- Set wall forms, tie rebar, and prepare sites for concrete placement in accordance with project specifications
- Place and finish concrete foundations, walls, paving (broom finish), and floors using walk-behind and riding trowel machines
- Assist with leading concrete crews by providing direction, maintaining quality standards, and promoting effective communication and jobsite safety
Requirements:
- 3+ years of skilled commercial concrete experience, including experience in building/finishing curb and gutter
- 1+ year of leadership experience
- Personal hand tools including edger, mag float and trowels
- Driver’s license
- High school diploma or GED required
