CMDS Fayette House is a specialized in-patient residential program for women, providing comprehensive care and support to those facing mental health challenges and substance abuse issues. Summary of Position:
Responsible for delivering professional nursing care to residents in compliance with all agency, state, and federal regulations. Assists physicians and collaborates with team members to coordinate patient care. Serves as the primary clinical liaison between patients and physicians, delivering nursing services under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Daily communication with the RN case manager is required to ensure continuity of care.
Essential Functions:
- Provide general nursing care to patients.
- Monitor, record, and report patient conditions and reactions to medications and treatments to physicians and RN Case Manager.
- Educate patients and families on diagnostic procedures, medications, nutrition, and health maintenance.
- Follow up on laboratory results, documenting and communicating findings to the RN, physician, and team.
- Prepare complete and accurate clinical notes, ensuring timely submission of all documentation per agency policy.
Education/Experience:
- Valid Maryland Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (required).
- Associate’s Degree (preferred).
- Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Minimum of two years of nursing experience.
- 1-3 years of acute care experience (preferred).
