Welder / Fabricator (Industrial)

- Compensation: $18.50 – $20.00 / hour (Depending on Experience)
- Schedule: Full-Time, Day Shift

- Reports To: Welding Supervisor
Position Summary
The Industrial Welder/Fabricator is responsible for fitting and welding non-pressure piping systems within a fast-paced, high-quality manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical blueprints skills, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to meeting strict quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Welding & Fitting: Weld and fit up non-pressure piping systems according to technical specifications.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to accurately determine weld placement and specifications.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all welds meet strict quality standards; follow heat specifications to maintain the structural integrity of the welds.
- Maintenance & Cleanliness: Maintain assigned welding equipment, machinery, and workspace to ensure a safe, efficient environment.
- Rework: Efficiently identify, repair, and perform necessary rework on components when required.
- Finishing: Utilize grinders and other hand/power tools to prepare and finish welded surfaces.
- Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all company safety protocols and protective equipment (PPE) guidelines.
- Dependability: Maintain excellent daily attendance and follow operational directions closely.
Position Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of dedicated welding experience in a manufacturing facility.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in reading standard tape measures and executing precise layouts.
- Knowledge Base: Strong, proven understanding of structural/weld symbols and fit-up procedures.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 lbs. frequently throughout the shift.
- Background/Screening: Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
