Zeifert Eye Care is a full-scope, patient-focused optometry practice in Highland Park, IL. Our office is growing, and we are looking for a friendly, professional, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Receptionist/Medical Assistant. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys interacting with patients, managing administrative tasks, and assisting with basic medical duties.
Job Responsibilities:
- Great and assist patient with a warm, professional attitude
- Schedule and confirm appointments
- Verify insurance benefits and process payment
- Answer phone calls and provide patient support
- Assist with pre-testing and medical screening procedures
- Maintain patient record and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Order and dispense contact lenses
- Support optometrists and staff with daily operations
What We're Looking for:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college education preferred.
- Previous experience in a medical or optometric office is a plus
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
- Proficiency with Google applications and basic computer skills
- Reliable, professional, and eager to learn

Work Schedule:
- 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday.
- Two Saturdays a month as needed.
Hours & Availability:
Average 32-40 hours a week, currently looking for someone to generally work Monday through Friday, as well as a rotating Saturday morning.
