The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the overall upkeep, repair, and preventive maintenance of the hotel building, guest rooms, and public areas to ensure a safe, clean, and fully functional environment for guests and staff.
This position performs a wide range of maintenance tasks including basic plumbing, electrical repairs, HVAC troubleshooting, carpentry, drywall repair, painting, sanding, patching, and general building repairs. The technician is responsible for maintaining walls, doors, fixtures, and surfaces to ensure the property remains in excellent condition and meets brand standards.
The role includes responding promptly to guest maintenance requests and resolving issues in a professional and timely manner to minimize guest disruption. Additional responsibilities include routine inspections of guest rooms and common areas, identifying and correcting maintenance issues, and performing preventive maintenance on equipment and building systems.
The Maintenance Technician also supports exterior upkeep such as minor landscaping, snow removal, and general property appearance. Coordination with housekeeping and front desk staff is essential to ensure smooth daily operations and quick turnaround of rooms.
The ideal candidate is reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize urgent repairs are required. Previous experience in hotel maintenance, construction, or general building maintenance is preferred.
Must be available to respond to emergency maintenance issues as needed, including after-hours calls.
Pay: $19.00 - $21.50 per hour
