Duties
- Conduct comprehensive building code analysis to ensure aerospace structures comply with industry standards and safety regulations
- Develop detailed 3D CAD (Computer-Aided Design) models to visualize and refine aerospace components and assemblies
- Apply construction regulations and building code compliance principles during the design and manufacturing processes
- Utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools to coordinate multidisciplinary project data, improve accuracy, and streamline workflows
- Perform design engineering tasks, including feasibility studies, stress analysis, and performance optimization of aerospace systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate technical specifications into project plans and ensure adherence to quality standards
- Support testing, validation, and troubleshooting of aerospace prototypes to verify design integrity and operational performance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus
- Proven experience with building code analysis specific to aerospace applications or structural engineering
- Strong proficiency in 3D CAD modeling software such as CATIA, SolidWorks, or similar tools
- Knowledge of construction regulations and building code compliance relevant to aerospace manufacturing facilities or structures
- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools for project coordination and data management
- Demonstrated expertise in design engineering processes, including technical analysis and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
- Technical proficiency in engineering principles, materials science, and safety standards within the aerospace industry
