JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
The Warehouse Associate coordinates the flow of materials to areas of the warehouse to prevent downtime and ships finished goods out to customers in a timely manner. Performs a variety of computer functions relating to inventory control. Responsible for the accuracy of inventory through accurate computer transactions and cycle count adjustments.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Pulls and delivers materials from stock to internal customers in a timely fashion.

Pulls and packs finished goods for shipment to external customers accurately and efficiently.

Verifies goods received by counting, weighing, and/or identifying goods against labels and receipt documentation.

Inputs cycle counts into computer. Generates and reviews count summaries for error, recounting as necessary. Recommends adjustments for approval.

Using computer terminal, processes customer returns for credit, re-labeling and re-packing if necessary. Move material and input locations into computer using bar code scanning equipment.

Performs inter-warehouse location transfers and conversions to new product codes.

Operates shipping manifest system for small shipments.

Operates material handling equipment as required.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

Perform cycle counts as per rotation schedule.

May assist supervisor on special projects and assist in training other warehouse employees on computer functions or other cross training.

Performs other duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Performance of duties requires heavy lifting. Physical effort may be required to transport in excess of 70 pounds.

Requires standing, walking, bending, and stooping.

Occasionally, will be exposed to all weather conditions in handling materials outside, unloading or loading vehicles.

Safety protective equipment as required.
QUALIFICATIONS/ABILITIES:
-
Pay attention to detail and time frames in processing paperwork.
-
Operate a variety of equipment including calculator, computer, scales, handtruck, pallet jack, forklift, and/or, other material handling equipment.

Have a thorough knowledge of warehouse work flow, procedures and computer inventory systems.

Perform basic mathematical calculations.

Physical ability to reach, stoop, bend, climb stairs, move materials from floor-to-shelves and from department to department.

Physical ability to move materials from floor to shelves and from department to department.
-
Ability to utilize computer software and hardware relevant to inventory control.

Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
-
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

One year as Warehouse Associate or equivalent experience preferred.

Computer experience required.
-
Experience operating a variety of equipment including calculator, computer, scales, handtruck, pallet jack, forklift, and/or other material handling equipment preferred.
